MSWord file in svn - change properties on commit

Hello Everybody !

I'm trying to find out is there any way to update MS Word documents '
properties (date, revision, log, author) on commit in SVN ?
Documents can be stored as RTF or DOC...

I've started thinking about using win32com (python module) to get access
to MS Word files. But - according to ym knowledge - it can be made only
on Windows, so on the client side...
Correct me if I'm wrong please.
