What is the advantage of using svn in Emacs?

Hi,

Today I downloaded the psvn.el file and installed in emacs.
In a svn working directory, I modified a file (in emacs), and opened
the svn-status buffer, pressed "c". A new frame opens, and I entered
the log info. After pressing C-c twice, emacs complains in the
mini-buffer, something like "ERROR: unknown action to ***.c". I
committed twice, and this happened twice. But the first time the
commition failed and the second, it succeeds.
I'm confused. Could you please tell me why?
And any one explain to me the advantage of using svn in Emacs?
