 Oh, yeah. 1167 -- "One of the upcoming milestones will be an "externals" milestone, it's pretty clear :-)" was sayed more than two years ago...
 And now svn:externals can be used without problems only for pull fixed release of external library, not for re-configuration of tree when all targets in development and not for sharing some library in progress between two projects in progress in one repo...
