Ok.

I'd like to see this feature implemented in some way.

Could I try to write a patch to svn (maybe for a 'svn verify'
command)???

Or you think 'll be better a python script (for the contrib dir)???

(or... maybe... you prefer I resolve this problem by myself without
submitting any code ;-)
