Just a follow-up post: I reorganized the 9200 files into a deeper directory
tree and created a repo with the nosync option. I didn't time the results,
but based on what I saw I think the entire "svnadmin load" took about an hour.
Wow! The original import, OTOH, has been running since Wednesday afternoon!

This is huge, because now we can totally smack down the "subversion won't
scale to the enterprise level" argument. Thanks again, folks!
