Just a thought: it seems to be that FSFS repositories are more stable and in
most parts faster than BDB repositories (if backed by a decent filesystem).
Most people that reported problems with broken repositories had BDB ones and
their problems were fixed almost everytime when they changed to FSFS.

Is there a special reason why you use BDB?
