Synchronize two repositories by mail?

Hi,

ok, it's not explicitly a subversion question. Does anyone know a
mechanism to synchronize two directory trees by mail? I suspect that one
side sends his last patch date, the other side could send all
differences since then and some automatic mechanism could patch that in.

Need something like that for CVS too.
