Unless you give more specific feedback, I have no idea how to improve
it.

The chapter starts by explaining a scenario which requires a branch,
i.e. the motivation for the existence of such a thing. Then it
defines what a branch is (just a copy), then goes on to demonstrate
the creation of a branch, and then continues the scenario showing how
a branch is used after it exists.

I honestly have no idea how to make it any clearer to newbies. :-)
Oh well.
