Good. Now we know which book to look in :-) Could you please narrow it
down for those of us that don't know if from front to back yet?

I'm thinking you might have found your answer under:
 ch05s03.html#svn-ch-5-sect-3.1.3

Where I am still unclear is what happens if I'm loading the dump into an
existing repository? Do the newly-loaded revisions count upwards from
the current HEAD? If you are using 'svndumpfilter include path
--drop-empty-revs' command, is it necessary to use the --renumber-revs
option?

Seems like all of the discussions of svnadmin load assume that you have
just created the target repository.

Also, why isn't the (scary) warning about using svndumpfilter on paths
that have been copied mentioned in the svndumpfilter man page?
