RE: Dump then load ==> ancient version???

One correction: The repository type on "svnserver" is BDB, not BSD.

I sure am hoping someone can provide a clue as to what is causing this
problem.

Originally, I had split the repository dump in half (using unix "split"),
gzippped them individually, transferred the two parts to a PC with a CD
burner, and burned them onto two CDs. Then I brought them over and
reassembled them, but I had the problem I described. I assumed it must have
been something with my transfer process, so we simplified it, and tried it
all over again: Same problem.

Could it be gzip? Has anyone heard of gzip corrupting a file it was
compressing, or winzip when decompressing a gzipped file?

Thanks for any hints! Been working on this problem for two days now, and all
the developers are getting tired of reading books on programming.
