--relocate working for mirrored repository?

Hi everybody,

currently i have one read-write master repository mirrored via svnmirror.sh
to a read-only slave repository, let's say every hour.

I intend to get rid of the current master repository making the current
slave the new master. The way i would try to accomplish that is:

1. Define a point in the near future, let's say 2.30 am on Sunday.
2. Make the master read-only.
3. Run svnmirror.sh explicitly to sync the repositories.
4. Make the current slave read-writeable --> new master.
5. Tell the users to "switch --relocate" their working copies to the new
master (= the current slave).

I do not know whether relocate will work here, since the repositories are
actually identical but not the same.

Furthermore, can someone tell me whether local modifications in the working
copies will raise problems?

Many thanks,
Klaus
