We are using svn with fsfs on our XServer G5 here with Apache2 and
10.3.8 successfully for quite some time now. It seems to be very
stable. We didn't try BDB much, however.

We are using the fink packages to install the server (I am the
maintainer). For more info see:

You have to install the package libapache2-ssl-mod-svn to get an
apache2 svn server.
