Having to change one's behavior will at best cause a little slowdown for a short time, at worst noticeable decreases in productivity, angry people and so on.

What about "Never change a running system"?

Do you have a "killer reason" to make such a jump, one that is worth all the effort?
If yes, then you can clobber the counterarguments by saying, e.g. "See, you wanted this feature so badly, with SVN you can have it. Now, do you want it or not?"
If no, then by all means I would say - don't do it. Stay with VSS if it does not bug all of you too much.

If you indeed have a good reason to move from VSS to SVN, I would very much like to know it. Since we're still in the experimental phase, it's always good to know what *special/real* problems can solved by using SVN. (Right now I wanna say a big "Thank You Very Much" to Arjen Bax for mentioning some good reasons :-).)
