What should go into a repository

Hi there,

A question has come up in our group about what material (e.g. types of
code or user manuals being developed,)
should be placed in a subversion repository. We also want to know the
recommendations for when to place a piece of code in our
repository. I'd like to know where is the best place to read up on these
questions.
