Martin,

If I am doing a fresh import there's nothing to do an update on!

We've been getting this error often while importing. This happens when
the source tree has a large number of sub-dirs and files. So a
workaround is to import the sub-dirs one by one (but that's painful).
However the import does work sometimes (if the importer is lucky).
Say, 1 in 20 tries :).

Any ideas?
