cvs2svn worked fine for me - I converted a number of fairly large
repositories with many thousands of revisions spanning nearly 5 years
with no troubles. It did take a few iterations to clean up some
branch vs. tags confusions (I had some CVS tags which looked like
branches to SVN), but after that there was no looking back.
