SSL error: wrong version number (https://my.domain.com)

Hi,

I have Apache serving up my subversion projects over HTTPS and it all works
fine, unless I access from behind a proxy.

From what I have read, if I access over HTTPS, then the proxy cannot
restrict access based upon HTML keywords, e.g. REPORT.

I can access the repository fine using svn log commands, but attempting a
checkout gets so far, and then crashes out with the following error message.

...
A myproject\trunk\mydirectory\myfile
...
svn: REPORT request failed on '/svn/myproject/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: REPORT of '/svn/myproject/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read response
body: SSL error: wrong version number (https://my.domain.com)

Couldn't find anything regarding this error on the mailing list, so would
appreciate any help.

Thanks,

--Frank
