Actually, our mailing list guidelines state that we do _not_ have an
official English-only policy. They only state that one is likely to
get the most responses by posting in English. (Yes, the guidelines
are written in English only.) Beyond that, it is the poster's
decision. The guidelines were largely made up by me, so I don't
pretend that they represent some sort of community consensus, but note
that there has never been a positive consensus that this *is* an
English-only list either.

So it's fine to ignore his post, but it's not okay to criticize him
for posting in French.
