Unfortunately, that decision hasn't been made yet, and while I'll have some
input, it won't be my decision. I'm not in a big hurry, but I wanted to get
a jump start on some of the basics. If I could get one at least working at
home, it would probably help.

I will be assisting, but the person who will be in charge of it is currently
in India for a couple of months. He's the *real* expert, and nobody else
has much more expertise than I do, i.e. not much, at the moment.

Thanks for the answers. Our expert has experience with RedHat and
Slackware, so those are probably the most likely candidates. I'll probably
just look at those two to start.
