        Two comments about that:

a) You can detect if this is on and off and act accordingly. Frankly, I
think you should ignore its value.
b) You seem to imply that this option is off by default. If the user
turned it on, he did so proactively. We simply add a note in the
release notes saying we use the actual filename casing, not the
artificial one used by Explorer. Besides, 95% of users will have this
option turned off anyway so it is a non-issue for now.
