G'day Deekshit,
A Subversion working area is stored in the filesystem, and is managed
by the Subversion client - is that what you meant?
A Subversion repository can be accessed by the Subversion client
using direct filesystem access (via the "file://" protocol) - is that
what you meant?
What exactly do you mean by "file system based client"??
Cheers,
Peter
PS. Have you read the Subversion book (http://svnbook.red-bean.com/)?
It might answer this and many other questions you have as you
become familiar with Subversion.
