Svnadmin dump --incremental

In our organization we would like to do a full hotcopy backup of our
repository once a week and incremental backups each day. I am a little
confused by the incremental backups. If I schedule one without specifying
release information, does it just do the changes between releases without
backing up the initial data at release 0 ? If I assume that all changes from
day to day are made between the HEAD release and any previous release, how
would I specify that just these changes should be backed up each day ?
