Or to put it a little more charitably: it would have helped us for
there to be a Subversion issue filed, with bidirectional
cross-references between it and the Debian issue.

As Erik points out, the short-term workaround is "Don't do that", and
the medium-term solution is "Upgrade Debian's Subversion to 1.2, when
1.2 comes out, and don't continue to upgrade 1.1.x".

Are these unsatisfactory, and if so, can you think of something
creative we can do to help Debian right now?
