Updating server from repository - best way?

From: Graham Cossey <graham_at_cossey.plus.com>

Hi all

Just recently installed subversion for the first time and seem to have it
working fine (so far).

My question is: What is the best way to update a development server with the
contents of a repository?

At present I'm using svn export, but this exports an entire directory tree.

Is there a way to only copy out changed files?

Should the development server be considered a working copy?

The application in question is HTML/PHP so no compilation process is
required between repository and development web server. The repository and
development server both reside on the same Fedora Core 2 Linux box.

TIA

Graham
