Sorry I don't have those binaries for you. But... keep reading.

Even lowly users can compile their own programs (if you have enough
quota disk space). Just create your own ~/bin and ~/lib and then
compile svn with your home dir as the prefix.
A little more work but it should be possible.

A few outstanding questions:

Does anyone know how to set up the shared objects as a normal user?
That is without `/sbin/ldconfig` ?

Would John even need to run `ldconfig` since he seems to only need the
client and not a server?
