I'd sure find it useful! Also for a build system, actually, just like
others are mentioning...

Ben, sorry I sent this to you off-list by mistake the other day. Here
you go, on-list:

"Common" differs among users, but I've also been wondering why this
wasn't easy to get at. What are the chances of that making it into stock
svnversion? Or a new stock "svnheadrev"?
