Pretty much - one of the attractions of subversion for us was to
eliminate the downtime in copying up a 'revision' to the server (or even
local disk). Thanks to all for the script suggestions - however the
designers on my team (who use it for photoshop, quark, movie files etc)
are not ever ever going to use the command line, and its a workflow
distraction to go to a bat file compared to the goodness that is
tortoise (but i will be using it for my needs). The above suggestion
would be really handy to have imho.
