Tell your boss "they're working on a lock-modify-unlock model for 1.2,
but in the meantime, let's give it a try with copy-modify-merge. Some of
the largest group coding projects in the world, like Apache and Samba,
use Subversion with the copy-modify-merge model every day. Once we give
it a try, I really think you'll like it better. If not, we can go back
to a locking model when 1.2 comes out."
