I don't think you should make that assumption without knowing all the
data, namely that there are likely - but perhaps not - more Windows
installations of Subversion than for Mac. Without at least that data
point you'll be making a bad assumption to say Mac is better than
Windows for Subversion based solely on the numbers you provided.

I've been using only Windows (how I wish for a Mac) with large > 2 G
repositories with no problems. Think you might want to find a different
argument. Looking through the archives it seems that there have been a
number of challenges getting Macs to work correctly - but that is
anecdotal on my part and like I noted above (how I wish for a Mac). ;-)
Probably just as many on Windows however.
