How to build 1.1rc2 under DragonFly BSD

Hello,

I am trying to get my hands on Unix and for that I've installed and
playing with DragonFly BSD. I know how to install packages and ports,
but there is no one available for subversion 1.1rc2. Is it possible
to build it from the tarball? I've tried "./configure --build=freebsd"
but it doesn't work.

Any help will be appreciated.
