I want to simply say this, because it irritates me. I won't respond to any
future messages if this becomes a thread.
You call my operating system of choice "Windoze", implying that it's somehow
second-rate. That offends me, because you're implying that I'm not smart
enough to choose a good operating system.
I've never called your operating system of choice "Linsux", because, even
though I don't know you, I respect your choice of OS as appropriate for your
situation.
Windows is not a second-class citizen in the Subversion world. Several of
the svn committers use it. Packages for win32 are made available quickly,
and are almost without fail perfect. Noone who installed them ever had
problems with APR versions or NPTL availability.
If you want to disparage someone's choice of operating system, please take
it to Slashdot. They love that sort of thing over there. Otherwise, my OS of
choice is called "Windows", or even "win32".

G'day Jochen,
Another option would be to use versioned symlinks (ie. symlink the
file(s) you want to share and then check in the symlink to the repos).
Unfortunately this only works on 1.1, and only on *nix systems.
I totally agree that this would be a handy feature for subversion to
provide on Windows - I have a need for it as well, and thought that
the addition of symlinks in 1.1 would solve the problem on Windoze as
well as *nix. Unfortunately that turned out to be a rather basic
misunderstanding on my part (see the thread entitled "Symlinks from
Windoze?" for more details).
Cheers,
Peter
