could someone from the Subversion team confirm that relative externals
will be in the 1.1 release? I don't remember it being in the list of
changes for the 1.1 release candidate.

If not I've been seriously considering writing a patch to allow them -
got as far as looking at the source code for parsing externals the
other day. They're crucial for us as some of our users have to tunnel
to our repository, so without relative externals we can't use
externals fullstop.
