Double ssh login required?

This was not the case before but is now and I have honestly not changed
anything. Or at least I think I have not changed anything.

So, before I could just do the following command

svn co svn+ssh://192.168.104.11/usr/local/subv/project/trunk aa

and the system would ask me for my password then download the project but for
some reason now it asks me for my password twice before downloading the
project!

If I attempt to ssh to the repository server I only get asked for my password
once.

Does anyone know why this happening now and how I can fix this?

The client details are

4.10-STABLE FreeBSD
svn, version 1.0.5 (r9954)

The server details are

RedHat 2.4.21-15.ELsmp
svn, version 1.2.0 (dev build)
