repository db neutrality?

Newbie question:

With the impending release of 'fsfs' and the option of two data storage methods, has SVN been altered to make it more db neutral?? Will support for other storage systems follow?

I'm thinking particularly of Firebird SQL (open source), and M$ SQL Server. And even WinFS (evil laugh) - it'll never work! ;)

I don't know how these compare in practical terms with DBD (right name??) but we'd feel safer using a db we knew well...

I guess everyone is the same.
