Your last sentence pretty much says it :-), but this fall seems quite
likely. Ben Collins-Sussman has done an thorough job of getting 1.1
defined and organized, see the issue tracker. As a result, it's
fairly close to being ready.

What remains right now are the "1.1-consider" issues, and some
unmilestoned ("---") issues, a few of which might be important for
1.1, we'll have to take a look...
