Was there ever any resoltion to this? I ask because one of our
workstations has developed this problem when trying to do a svn update;
in this case, it does *not* work again after waiting a few minutes, so
this workstation is out of luck.

Other workstations can update and commit fine. I have not tried
recreating the working directory yet, because the workstation has a
number of uncommitted changes, and I'm hoping not to have to juggle
files.

The workstation in question is XP pro SP1; the server it's connected to
is also on Windows 2003. Connection is via svn:// protocol.
