I would rather *not* like to have SVN (or any other app for that
matter) filling up the recycle bin as in practice it means dealing
twice with the stuff I wanna get rid of. FWIW I have turned off the
bin for all drives except the own data partition - where I about
always use CTRL-DEL though. YMMV, but for accidents like the
one you had there are

1) regular backups of your own data (daily, hourly, automatically,
just what fits your needs best);

2) tools like DriveRescue which are especially effective in cases
you notice a mistake just after hitting the wrong button.
