Ahh, right! Thanks, I just now noticed there was actually an ongoing
discussion on this.. There goes for being sloppy in following up on the
threads here ;)
I'll try that approach. On a sidenote.. don't you think it would be possible
to just "make" the client on the test drive system, with --prefix set to
whatever you need, and then "make install" on your own system after copying
the source tree?

for a free HP Test Drive account at http://www.testdrive.compaq.com/
which allows access to 11.11 servers with their ANSI C compiler.
