file://.... URL does not work

Hi,

I just installed the latest subversion RPMs for Fedora Core 1. If I use the
svn co file://... URL I get an error that it is an invalid URL.

This used to work fine for me before I updated the subversion from the one I
had installed in Fedora.

I get this error message after creating a new repositiory at /tmp/svn and
loading my backup into it:

svn co file:///tmp/svn/trunk/radical radical

svn_error: #21075 : <Bad URL passed to RA layer>
  Unrecognized URL scheme: file:///tmp/svn/trunk/radical

Any ideas if I am doing something wrong or has this feature been dropped from
subversion? Do I need to install another package to give me the file protocol?

Thanks in advance

Nicholas Allen
