Right: and then when you are in the trunk,
and you want to see what revisions correspond
to what labels, you can't...

I.e. knowing the label you can go to revision,
but not the other way.

Other posts have already discussed the need/desire
to be able to find all versions/branches related
to a file.

You're absolutely right, it's annoying; and you're
absolutely wrong, you don't need it. You need it as a last
resort.

The Subversion user community seems like the CVS user
community in the early days: full of enthusiasm, bent
on changing the world, and quite inexperienced,
or, at least, if experienced, experienced in only
a narrow range of usage models.
