svn: No such string '21p'

Hi all,

i have a repos in the rev 290.
if i do an update on another node i get
svn: No such string '21p'

when i do a svnadmin recover
Please wait; recovering the repository may take some time...

Recovery completed.
The latest repos revision is 290.

so nothing interesting,
a svnadmin verify
gives:
* Verified revision 278.
* Verified revision 279.
* Verified revision 280.
* Verified revision 281.
* Verified revision 282.
* Verified revision 283.
svn: No such string '21p'

so neither co nor dump is working further ...

i can still check in new stuff, without any error.
A checkout works until i reaches the changes made by the 284th ci.

Can this error be removed ? or do i really loose the checkins after 283 ?
And if, how can i reset back my Working copy to the revision 283,
without modifying the residing files, to check in again the stuff ?

Thanks

Roland
