It works now.

$ svn list $svnroot
clas405/
cs620/
cs712/
cs760/
cs770/
ee612/
etc/
finances/
gnomevfs-svn/
lotr-summary/
misc/
resume/
vim/
web/

Anyone why the trailing slash was causing problems with list? When all
of the svn commands worked fine?
