Perhaps it's just me, but the syllables in "subversive" are every bit
as distinct as those in "submarine". Are you are alluding to some
sort of near-silent 'b'? If so, then, no, none of the words in this
mail beginning with s-u-b (include "Subject") contains such a thing.
