Brian,

I should have mentioned: I use Opera (and very, very rarely,
Netscrappy 4.7something), not Internet Explorer. IE would always
try to dial up and then end in a "Not found" on the MSN page, even
though the URL is one reserved for LANs and even is defined in
HOSTS. And that's a real M$ bug, but a completely different matter.
