Error message: invalid editor anchoring

Probably another newbie mistake (it's hard learning a complicated new
tool without another set of eyes.)

I created a tag/branch in my branches folder using TSVN. Now I'm trying
to "switch" to it. In both TSVN and the svn commandline I'm getting:

svn: Invalid editor anchoring; at least one of the input paths is not a
directory and there was no source entry

A google produced only one hit, apparently against svn v0.29.0.
http://www.contactor.se/~dast/svn/archive-2003-09/0285.shtml The
subject of his email implies that the error has something to do with the
file system path.

I was under the impression that a "switch" command should use the
svn://example.com/repo/branches/mybranch syntax. I thought I was able
to do that in a couple of tests earlier last night, before this showed
up. Am I mistaken about this syntax? What's the fix to this error?
