You can start by reporting some details of your problems. You're being
incredibly vague. Tell us about your client and server, versions, OS,
access methods. Show us transcripts of concrete problems, from both the
client and the server.

Have you read the FAQ about database recovery? Have you read chapters 5
and 6 in the book about properly administering and networking a
repository?
