Fw: Wish List (Revisited)

Ok, now we have release 1.0--great work!

And I want to move our large CVS repository to subversion, BUT:

  Minimalist users want rtags and history -T equivalents (not cheap copies of directory trees)

  Users want .svnignore files (not a manual update of prop lists)

  Users want svn to recognize at least one environment variable like CVSROOT to point to the repository (not some long URL)

I see I'm not the only one desiring these things.

And the view that functionality might be duplicated is bogus. Browsing a fixed list of tags (aliases for a revision) is not the same thing as browsing a directory of tag names which are not in date order, and which may be changed at will.

And I'll be glad to work on these things, but I need some assurance that the ideas are acceptable and not scorned at every mention of them.
