I just realized that the problem I encountered during checkout may be
caused by the fact that I mapped a local directory to a network drive to
shorten paths (though still everythings was local on my machine!).

But executing

[DV] D:\dv\gtt\fast> svn co file:///D:/Develop/svn_fast/r027/branches/pro/fast r027_co

just worked fine (even though my Repository is in a somewhat
inconsistent state which causes svnadmin recover to fail!).
