I don't think it's the dump/load bit which is scary here... but the 'filter'
bit in between to get rid of 'useless' binary files imported and deleted!

Did you ever clean up the unused log files? There was also a point at which

we moved to manual deltification, but it's automatic again (just as Tim
wrote
above). This could also make a difference.

for the details on how to do this. It's really very simple.
