RE: how to backup svn repos - hotcopy or dump?

I've been using dump, because the disk space required is much smaller. Then
I gzip it also. This has the downside that I have to stop apache while it's
being dumped, and the upside that if I do have a crash, I will use the
opportunity to reinstall the latest version of subversion, so the dump file
will be needed anyway if the database schema has changed.
